For centuries, women have been painting their nails. Originating in China as far back as 3,000 B.C. Mixtures have included beeswax, egg whites, gelatin, vegetable dyes, gum, tinted powders, creams, and nail polish paste. With so many different ways to paint nails now, it is almost more fun than it was before.
